Macworld 2008

Macworld 2008

I have read several sites that are predicting what is to come 4 days from now at the Macworld 2008. There are very different predictions ranging from a must-upgrade of the Apple TV, upgrades for the iPhone, Ultra Portable Macbooks, Newly designed Macbooks and other cool stuff. It was pointed out that there will be completely new products to be shown at Macworld 2008. I don’t have my hopes pinned on the “New product” as much as on an upgrade of the Macbook Pro (with blu ray drive). I am still unsure if i should go with the Dell XPS M1330 or switch to a mac. Anyhow, it has been said that the event this year is unlike anything we have seen in the past.

    Simply, switch!

I got my PowerBook G4 three years ago (1.5Ghz, 1GB RAM, 60GB HD). The specs say it all, if it’s a recent model it would be an outcast! However, it’s still running perfectly and I can assure myself it would give me two more years without any trouble at all. The only downside is its PPC processor. Recent Mac apps including Leopard are made natively on Intel Macs so, although they’re universal binaries, they still have some minor problems on PPC Macs. You probably won’t notice any problems running those apps on new Macs.

    Good luck.
