I got my PowerBook G4 three years ago (1.5Ghz, 1GB RAM, 60GB HD). The specs say it all, if it's a recent model it would be an outcast! However, it's still running perfectly and I can assure myself it would give me two more years without any trouble at all. The only downside is its PPC processor. Recent Mac apps including Leopard are made natively on Intel Macs so, although they're universal binaries, they still have some minor problems on PPC Macs. You probably won't notice any problems running those apps on new Macs. Good luck. Simply, switch!
