Lost

Apple Macbook Pro
I am lost in deciding what my new laptop will be. I have an IBM now and it sucks big time. Everyone around me suggested I buy an IBM and they were wrong. This time around, I will only take suggestions from true facts and not the word on the street. Anyhow, I am not sure as to whether i should buy a 17-inch desktop replacement (since it will really be used instead of a desktop computer) or a 13-inch notebook (since I will be carrying it around most of the time around my college campus). Also, i’m not sure if i should take the risk (it is a risk to me) and try out a mac this time around, or just stick with a pc. I’m not sure. So far, the Dell XPS M1330 & M1530 have caught my eye. They are two pretty good laptops, with their only flaw is that they run a little loud after long use. The M1330 is more of a light more portable notebook while the M1530 is more of a desktop replacment. I am also unsure if i should include the Macbook Pro on my “notebooks to watch for” list or not. This is because i feel a new line of macbooks from Apple are on the way. In conclusion, i’m pretty lost ! 😛 … plz help here?

I recommend either the dell XPS 1330 since it has been getting a lot of good reviews or the MacBook Pro 15 since its portable and you still get all the performance needed. You seem like the type to keep a laptop for a while, so this is what I recommend. Check out the reviews online and go for the features you want. Don’t get too many features you don’t need, thats my only recommendation
